Women Organisation for Social Welfare (WOSW) is a secular, non- profit making, non-government, and non-political organization working in Odisha State, India, since 1996. WOSW has been constituted by a band of likeminded, committed and concerned persons with diversified experience and a passion to serve the people in need. Initially WOSW had started its intervention from two Trbibal dominated blocks in Keonjhar District.
WOSW enables to empower the target community, capacitating and strengthening the CBOs, SHGs, Farmers Clubs and the peoples association leading towards sustainable development, improving education and health services, promoting balanced ecology,

WOSW aims at social, cultural, vocational & educational development of the women and other weaker section of the community i.e. ST, SC, OBC and minority communities. Focus and develop appropriate skills among the youth and women for income
One more year becoming history means many more additional achievements in the credit balance of WOSW. We have now entered into the 15th year of our development journey. It has been full of challenges, hardships, setbacks and learning. But, at the end of the day, we have been able to give good performance, year after year and decade after decade.
WOSW believes that, development action does not always lie in launching programs and activities, but Need Based Program along with People Centered Development Approach helps the people to restore dignity and self reliance amongst them through their own organized action. These understandings give a prospective to WOSW and encourage to involve in Development Process of Social sector. This prospective has been driven by some development co-operative action and initiatives. They are improving Education, Health and Hygiene, ensuring Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation, protecting Environment, Natural Resources Management, Livelihood Development, Food security, Disaster Preparedness, fighting for Social and Economic Equity, protection of Human Right etc.
The organization with lot many struggle and hardship has been trying to provide opportunities to the poor and vulnerable people reshaping their lives through self-organized initiatives at the community level and other levels of action, WOSWs learning from development prospective always values Peoples Participation, People Centered Approach with integrity and transparency everywhere.
While presenting this annual report, we take the opportunity to express our gratitude to the community groups and volunteers as well as our supporters, donors and partners. I deeply appreciate and extend my deep sense of gratefulness for painstaking, sustaining and preserving efforts being taken by each of them and also solicit their continued cooperation.
